Ed and Justine Miliband visit The West Bridgford School

We were delighted to receive a visit from Ed and Justine Milliband on Wednesday 23rd April.  The couple were in the area for the local elections but chose to visit our school as Justine is a former pupil of West Bridgford.  Justine left our school in 1988 having completed her ‘A’ levels and went on to study Law at Robinson College, Cambridge.  She is now a successful Barrister.Credit: ITV News

Justine was pleased to meet a number of her former teachers, some of whom are still with us and some who came out of retirement for the day.  Ed, very kindly, offered a question and answer session with 150 of our students from all year groups.  The questions were very varied and challenging and he spoke in very complimentary terms about our students who, once again, were a credit to the school. 

All in all, it was a fabulous visit and I know our students who were fortunate enough to meet the couple were delighted to do so.
